Now that all of the foreclosed houses have been stripped of their copper, it appears thieves are turning their attention to...bridges.
Give Uncle Benny a few more years running his ink-jets and perhaps we'll be reporting thefts of gravel roads....

A bandit, or possibly several, has stolen a privately owned steel bridge from a secluded area in Lawrence County.
The Covert's Crossing bridge in North Beaver Township has been in the area since at least the early 1900s, according to the Lawrence County Historical Society.

I admit I was impressed. I remember when some Russians stole a bridge but I didn't think American scrappers had it in them.
On the stone; on another site, a poster reported that their stone retaining wall was stolen after a pipeline company opened a road behind their place. Guard your gravel.
