SEATTLE — United Airlines has settled a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by a former pilot who said she found pornography in airplane cockpits. Details of the settlement with former Captain Lisa Stout have been sealed. The Seattle Times reports today that the two-year-old case was settled this month, weeks before it was set to go to trial in U.S. District Court in Seattle. Stout grounded herself and eventually left United after saying she found porn hidden in the flight deck on United's domestic flights. Before the settlement, Judge John C. Coughenour rejected United's arguments to have the case dismissed. The judge also ruled that Stout could seek punitive damages if the case went to trial. HIDDEN PORN. How in the hell is this sexual harassment? She just wants to get a fat check from her ex-employer so she doesn't have to work. Nobody forced her to watch porn. Nobody even sexually harassed her. The only thing United Airlines should do is pay for someone to remove the stick from her ass. If an adult freaks out over finding porn they need to grow the hell up. Put the porn in a trash can if you don't like it. Problem solved. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/htm...rnsuit23m.html From the non-discolsure I assume she got enough money to retire. According to her lawsuit, she developed a "severe condition" that required her to take medication and, ultimately, ground herself in August 2005. The judge either sealed or redacted the details of Stout's medical condition from otherwise public documents. United argued that Stout could not have been offended by the sexually explicit photos because she once worked in a retail store that sold pornographic magazines, she sometimes sketched nudes as an artist and she had attended art shows displaying photos of nude women. ... ... ... |
