Boy, with these prices I'm really hoping some decent 720p sets will drop to like $499 or something for the holiday season. I would love to snatch like a 37" set for that kind of price! It doesn't have to be huge, I just want a decent quality one that's big enough to not feel like a computer monitor and cheap enough that I can actually get it and afford to maybe get an Apple TV to feed it with stuff.
I kind of really want to hold off for a DLP set though but it seems like all of those are high 40 inchers and above and like $900 and upwards for the cheapest. They also don't seem to go on sale or fall near as much as the LCDs (and even plasma now), I guess people still view the slim LED (or even not LED) DLPs as really high end stuff and thus a niche type market. The quality on the slim DLPs is just amazing though, every time I see one in real life the colors pop so much that it’s almost like BETTER then viewing whatever your watching in real life, lol |
