Does anyone know who he is? To me its very intriuging although of course i could just be ignorant and the answer is right infront of my eyes. Is he some retired F1 driver? I just want to know more about him. Thanks.

Nobody knows who the current Stig is.
Although when Top Gear ran the Renault F1 car around the track a couple of years ago, the driver was not the Stig, but a Renault tester IIRC.

Actually I do know who the Stig is - It was posted on another site. But I forget his name. He's a British touring car champion and I believe has been test driver for F1.

There have been multiple Stigs... one was even "killed" off. The full story is on several different sites.

In a recent Clarkson DVD there was someone in a car, in a very stig-like pose without a helmet on - and it was some famous driver (can't remember who though).

I seem to remember it being reported, that racing driver Perry McCarthy let it slip in his autobiography, that he was the Stig.
But I agree, there's pobably more than one.

Was he the one that got "killed" because he spilled the beans? The black Stig?
BTW, last episode in series Sunday night.
