Well I've had no problem... then again I only get some of the PM pop ups that come up so it's pretty wrecked anyway.
You sure you don't have Internet on another page open in another window? Sorry if that's a bit of a silly question...

Ok, germancarfans drops off these two cookies...
atdmt.com and fastclick.net
now carspyshots drop off these two...
atdmt.com and maxserving.com
Here's the funny part. CSS is also sending another cookie but this one isn't sent all of the time...
doubleclick.net
And somehow acme.com is in the middle of all this. Infact acme.com is sending the pop ups (fact). I have tracked the servers and carspyshots.net and germancarfans.com use the same servers...
216.40.33.21
216.40.33.22
204.50.180.58
But I can't track acme... yet. The overall layout (google ads on top is the same as css) Funny thing is acme doesn't hold any bad cookies. I ran a random check on the website.

Ascariss, I can't find the actual proof that the pop ups are coming from the same server but it clearly shows CSS is dropping bad cookies that are designed for ads.

I sometimes get pop ups too.

stoneeZef 12-28-2005 07:00 AM

It's been like that for a while now. I think I posted something like that in the help forum. However, this only occurs from time to time - like Cozz mentioned previous, it could well be a rolling cookie, maybe from germancarfans.com http://www.germancarfans.com/images/forums/nixweiss.gif

If you people won't provide links of ads, then I can't do jack sh** about them popping up for you.
There nothing anyone can do until they pop up I guess. I'll keep trying.

chuecaloversvv 04-09-2006 07:00 AM

Is this website being shared with another car website? I don't want to mention names but it could be from another website. You'll need to go there then you pick up the cookie then come here and then you get pop ups. Sounds a bit crazy but it can happen.

the forums are not supposed to have popups except the IMs, the ad coding sometimes ****s up to use proper terms and inserts code that has pop ups.
If anyone gets a pop up other than a IM, message me with the link (URL) of the pop up and also the image link of it, so it can be removed.

PemiaGefe 05-11-2006 07:00 AM

Like I said, the forums are not meant to have pop up ads, so again check the Url and send it my way, if you have a virus or adware or whateverware on ur pc, tha could also be a problem.

I took the liberty of looking at what this site in throwing in. Looks like a rolling cookie. Looks like it remembers what pop ups you have seen so it sends it back to the server to send a new pop up with a different ad.

I'm pretty much bullit proof on my side. If something goes through then it's because I let it. And it still gives me all the info on it.

Opps, you gave the name.

chuecaloversvv 08-09-2006 07:00 AM

Are you getting pop ups in CSS?

Maybe it's just me but is anyone else getting certain pops ups when they hit this sight?
I have the blocker shut off because I have mucho freinds here that love talking to me. http://www.germancarfans.com/images/forums/spam.gif
Santeno clearly posted that there is no pop ups here...
Quote »CSS does not advertise, and we definitely do not use pop-up advertising. If you are on our site, the only pop-up you might get is the PM system. Please TURN OFF YOUR POP-UP BLOCKERS WHEN NAVIGATING ON CSS
http://carspyshots.net/zerothread?id=15172
But my software tells me it part of the cgi/html that's coming from the same srver. I don't get them in any other website.
