And btw anyone who judges the whole field of UFO´s, ET´s and the paranormal on their limited knowledge they get from these tv shows (like Ancient Aliens) is just ignorant.
The shows are entertaining, but they´re nothing else but entertainment.

I judge my opinions on facts such as the size of the universe and number of planets and the probability of life on other planets from facts like tht.

Yes they are just entertainment but they are based on real theories and facts... Technically every program on Tv is entertainment... Does not mean that some of it is not informative or relevant..

Dude first of all i´ve read more books on the topic than most libraries have on the subject, so i think i can talk about this.
I´m very aware of the ways the media works, that what you get to see on TV is cut up bs in so many cases just taking comments and cutting them totally out of meaning, often enough pulling comments and cuts so far away from the original questions/stories that for anyone that´s really looking for anything but brainless entertainment, they´re worthless.

I find them interesting as well, in an entertaining sense.
But could i easily dismiss pretty much 95% of everything said in all the ep´s of Ancient Aliens ? (which i have)

I don't believe I've ever told you guys my UFO story, so I may as well relate it now. By the way, by UFO I mean "unidentified flying object", not "alien".

I was helping a friend move to a city about 45 minutes away, through terribly boring side country. There are a few small cities and one military base in between. We were driving through that military base. It was about 7 or 8 at night, just after sundown.

Suddenly on the horizon I saw a small light. Then on the other side of the road I saw another. Then another, and another, and another... it was like 15 yard lights turned on at once all around the countryside around me, but they were up in the air like on towers. I didn't think too much about it, because it was a military base. Then I saw off on the horizon 3 distant lights moving in the sky. The lights were in the shape of a triangle, like if they were on a plane there would have been one on each wing and one on the nose. But the lights were moving very, very slowly.

Then the crazy part happened. I was so distracted with the crap on the horizon, it took me a second to notice something moving literally about 20 yards to my left-front, and about 50 yards in the air, just above my friend's car. I couldn't see what it was exactly even though it was close enough that my headlights should have lit it up. There were again 3 lights in the same shape. The space between the lights was blocking out stars, so I could kind of make out a rough triangular shape, but it was the same color of dark as the sky. It was keeping pace with my friend and me as we did about 70 down the highway, and then it slowly started drifting laterally away from the road to my right, very very slowly. Despite being so close to me, it made zero sound. I didn't have my radio on and I drive a quiet car. It couldn't have been any sort of traditional helicopter or plane. And there were 4 or 5 of these things flying around in the fields around us. I eventually crested the hill on the horizon, and then couldn't see anything behind me, and it was all gone.

I tried to call my friend during this, to see if he had seen the same thing I did. However, his phone was always busy. The entire time he was on the phone with some girl dealing with drama. He ended up marrying that girl some time later, so I can't blame him from being preoccupied with her I suppose. Needless to say he didn't see any of this. Also, my phone at the time was a cheap one and it didn't have a camera, so I have absolutely zero evidence to support this claim of mine.

I don't believe it was alien, but do think it was some crazy secret military ****. It was like some kind of F117 that could hover feet above the ground silently, and be almost completely invisible to the human eye. If it didn't have the 3 lights, I would have never known it was there. Hell even with the lights, my friend didn't see anything.

EDIT: Oh yeah one least weird thing. When I drove back by that area in daylight, I looked for those towers that the light was coming from, and there were no towers visible in those fields. I've seen the lights from those towers on multiple occasions in the dark, but there is never anything there in the light. This I do have other witness testimony to corroborate, however the simple explanation is that the towers just retract into the ground during the day.

EDIT2: It was right about here. Notice the Army air field just to the northwest.

I enjoyed watching it and thought it was interesting... I am not saying it is true I am just saying it is interesting to think about... therefore the program is not "brainless" and "worthless" because it is more thought provoking then something like x factor....

How do you know anyway? Are you dr who with a time machine? There MIGHT have been alien visits in the past and that MIGHT have been what ancient people interpreted as gods etc... It is not that implausable and is more likely then a lot of stories in religeon etc... I am not sure why you think it is a mindless and worthless program....

I dont have any real opinions either way I am just open minded and saying it is a possiblity that aliens visited in the past... Who knows?

Again around where I work, this time as I was driving in at 8:50am. Stopped at some traffic lights and directly ahead, middle of a perfectly clear blue sky was a point of light, 10-20 times brighter than any star, slowly moving right to left. As I saw it the lights turned green and I had to turn to the left to carry on.

I pulled up on the pavement and got out of my car, there were half a dozen other people stood there staring at this light. I got my phone out, looked down to turn it to camera, set it to max resolution, heard some people saying "Jesus, what the hell?" and when I looked up again it was gone. Apparently it just shot off like a bullet straight up....

Weird stuff...
