Heading out shortly to have 3 of my wisdom's pulled. 1 of them is MIA, they are going to do a full Jaw xray to see if its hiding or growing in an odd direction. I'm guessing its just not there (praying).
But the 3 erupted wisdoms I have did not grow in correctly, they grew outwards towards the cheek wall at an angle but are not impacted. They've caused no problems in the past so I left them alone and just continued with life. However, recently one of them within 6 months decided to rot out. Probably because of the way its against the cheek wall and I can't quite get a tooth brush on it well. A chunk of it just came off one day, I didn't even bite on anything hard. Thankfully no pain, and all of the roots are alive and well. So I've decided that to save future dental bills for fillings/root canals that I'm just going to have them all pulled and save myself the future trouble of dealing with them. I should have done it long ago. Thankfully the too cracking off wasn't painful but that was enough of a warning to tell me to get rid of them. I have elected NOT to be put under anesthesia. Its nearly as much as the tooth extractions itself. as long as he can numb me good then I will be able to deal with the procedure. It can't hurt worse than the pain that precedes a root canal. |
