I have owned Sony, Yamaha, Denon, and now I am running a Pioneer Elite and I could not be happier. Regarding speakers, avoid Bose at all costs as they are similar to HK in the sense that they are overpriced for their performance. Energy and Polk Audio both offer fantastic performance for the price. I personally run all Polk Audio speakers on my main system. |
exelent, i can get great deal on polkaudio speaker
i think the pioneer elite are too expencive for my budjet tho and what do you mean by brighter/darker sound forgot to say that the room is 16"x25" and half wood wall, ceramic floor and ceiling so i dont know if it reflect sound :( |

The Elites are definitely higher in price but Pioneer's lower models produce great sound as well. A darker sound is more laid back in the high end whereas a bright sound has more high end emphasis. (treble essentially) If a room has a lot of reflections, a brighter sound can become fatiguing to the ear so a darker sound AVR will help neutralize that occurrence. |
Polk are good, just as long as they arent those tiny little baby book shelf speakers that are attached to a straw like stand.
