Take a look at the bottom of the magazine on Jet Li's weapon [rofl]
http://hwcdn.themoviedb.org/backdrop...s-original.jpg On a serious note - a lot of movies and TV series use airsoft replicas for all non-firing weapons. Its a lot cheaper as you don't need to have an armourer present. For example - all the non firing weapons in The Hurt Locker were airsoft weapons. A few of the stores I buy from in London provide rental services to the TV and film industry. |

Actually you had me smiling until the "serious note". I mean if its normal then the story kinda loses its "FAIL" status. |

Read an article about the weapons and watched the special about the making of the film on HBO.
The weapons for the film used were definitely real, but had plugged barrels so that the gas produced by the blanks would cause the action of firearm to function. The fired some 30,000+rounds of blanks for that movie. Also Stallone selected the weapons himself. As to the picture, it doesn't look like one of the ones used in the film so they likely used this goof for this photo. |
