I may not agree with the morality of the rather large age difference which involves a 17 year old, but the law is what really matters here. The father, perhaps rightfully pissed, decided to overlook the willingness of a leagually concenting daughter and impose his own illegal justice on the said older man.

It's really a sad story all around. The father has ruined his life, ruined the life of another in a most violent and disturbing way, and most likely scarred his daughter for life. I cant really say anything about this until all the facts are present and accounted for, but at first glance I have to think it's the father who grossly, and violently extended his resolve which could have probablly been handled a bit more tactfully, and leagally...

But the post above, imo and its just that, My opinion, is correct.

I'm currently going through a Divorce, so my ex-wife's daughter is no longer my concern, but if when she was 17, She was seeing a 57 yr old, I would be very concerned, because frankly I don't think she is at an age to be Emotionally capable of making sound Judgements, and that's whether she's legally above the age of consent or not.

And if she was f*cking the guy, I would not only be Physically sickened, but I think I'd want his Balls off too. [cursing]

remember what that girl is like, though, stupid and thoughless to say the least - if the 57yo man had me learning respect for herself, her family and others, was able to encourage her to take responsability for her actions and find a job or get enrolled to improve her education, what would you think?
The kid that got her pregnant and then, IIRC, took no further interest in her is certainly not the sort of person I would want ANY child of mine hanging around with.

I suggest you actually think about the actual circumstances, rather than raving.
Sure, he may have been taking advantage of her, just as she may have been taking advantage of him - sugardaddies have been around for centuries, as have the girls who take advantage of their weaknesses.

Until we havemore than the 'shock, horror' stories, judgement should be held back about the couple's relationship! If the girl was uncomfortable with the relationship, she would have been expected to stop it - perhaps she tried, perhaps she didn't want to.

Yea, it's funny how having a daughter can completely change your viewpoint, before my daughter was born i'd have probably been more like, yea go for it man! 57 and seeing a 17yr old, that lucky sob. But not now, oh no. [rofl]
