Just seen Predators on Blu-ray.
 

Omg it was awesome, still not as good as the first one (with good old Arnie), really enjoyed it though. I was not too sure about Adrien Brody as the main man, but I think he pulled it off, all in all a good flick.

It was better than all that AvP garbage we have been getting fed. It had a similar feel to predator 1.

Predator 1 is a classic so you cant compare it to that, but its a good movie IMO.

Yea I enjoyed it. Definitely the best predator since the 1st one, but that's not really saying much since the AVP movies were awful.

That's what I thought too. AvP movies were just horrid and Predators was better than Predator 2 by a long shot IMHO. They recaptured the feel of Predator 1.

I thought it was excellent, Brody makes a good action lead surprisingly and he looked like he really bulked up for the role.

Also the supporting characters all lent a little something extra, overall one of the better sci films of recent years and a giant improvement over the AVP movies.

I am a massive fan of Aliens and the predator universes. First 3 and 2 films (I ignore thereafter) and have all the comic books and novels up until about 6 years ago.

To be honest, the grit of it all, Predator 1 and 2 were also utter shite by todays "internet" standards. The only thing is that Pred 1 and 2 were made donkeys years ago where they wasn't such an expectation.

Predators captured the essence of number 1, very very well. Infact it was miles better than any recent AvP film, and dare I say better than Alien 3 and ressurection too.

He kept things basic enough. People in a jungle getting raped by predators.

I don't believe they could have made that film any better. The only reason people hail 1 and 2 so much is due to nostalgia.

Indeed, I watched Predator 2 the other day for the first time in about 15 years and it honestly made Predators look like Shawshank Redemption. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/laugh1.gif Predator 1 is still timeless though and I think Predators had a lot of the same style.
