just saw one on distrowatch that was 8 gigs ya have to burn it to a dual layer dvd.hell i havent even used a dual layer dvd yet

They are getting bigger yes but the one you linked was SuperGamer and from the description "Extra games are added along with some demo editions of proprietary games". Ubuntu, Mint, openSUSE, Fedora and most others are still available in CD format. Don't forget that the Live DVD's come with almost all of the applications you will ever need offline.
