this is a follow-up to:
http://futuremark.yougamers.com/foru...light=pandorum It as been viewed and didn't reach the yardstick, but still is a good Sci Fi movie. Right of the beginning you can tell someone, I suspect WS Anderson on the producer team, loves the look of Dead Space. The story however, does not have much in common. In short, Sci Fi Horror, 4/5, go rent the DVD. |

Loved it.
I agree it's probably rental material, but I picked it up on blu-ray as it was only a fiver, money well spent as far as I'm concerned. Defintely seems to have some inspiration from Dead Space, which is naturally all good. Would love a sequel / prequel, but sometimes films like this do best by standing on their own. |

Just saw it a few weeks ago, and while there were a few things that could have been better (plot holes) it held the attention very well and created a definite atmosphere of "What the hell is going on here?"
The acting was good, and set direction and design was great, even though it was obvious at times that some budget corners were cut here and there. In the end, (especially with the surprise ending) I felt like I had watched a science fiction film written by a true fan with some interesting ideas woven through the action scenes that were probably necessary to raise the funding to get it made. A pleasant surprise, much like SUNSHINE, only undermined by the flaws of trying to bring wider commercial appeal by adding a little too much sometimes silly action. In the end, you can almost forgive that, because of the pure sci-fi roots that underpin the movies and almost make them classics. Good to have in your library. At the end of the movie, my youngest, who had been leaning forward watching the whole thing said one word. "Intriguing" |

I thought it was a great little movie, but the whole almost stop-go animation on the monsters made me go "Huh?!"..... Im still confused in near final scene, where the part, he sees the "monsters" ripping in the room, then he sees it again, then the "monsters" its actually its just his (or is it everyone's) imagination?.. Or is it the whole monsters thing its their imagination?.. despite one of the characters said that "they were humans..." Cheers ![]() |
