Default How time stops when you are bored out of your mind.
I just got netflix, and one of the items in my queue was watchmen. I had doubts that I would like it and wasn't really interested before, but I figured it's worth giving it a chance.

Some time into the movie, I don't know when, but I was thinking "Man, this movie is long, I hope it's over soon"

I wait for another unknown period of time, and I think "Holy ****, this movie is still going on, WTF?" I look at the clock on my phone and see the time, and realized that I was only 90 minutes into the movie.

I sat down and watched another 30 minutes, saw the movie didn't seem like it was about to end. I get up, look at the sleeve and see that there is another 40 minutes remaining... Ugh... "OK, I made it this far, I can go further"

What I didn't realize is that although I ordered the theatrical version, and that the sleeve was for the theatrical version, I had the option for them to send blu ray if available... Well, what they had on blu ray and what they sent me was the directors cut, which is 20 minutes longer.

I shudder to think there is an ultimate cut with another 30 minutes on top of that.

I just know that when I go to hell, they are going to sit me in a theater clockwork orange style and force me to watch a special cut of the film, which never ends.

I thought Watchmen was rather decent.

A lot of people did. Just not for me I guess. I liked both of the new batman movies (along with the campy batman, and Tim Burton version), I thought the first two spider man movies were decent, as was the fantastic four. I enjoyed The Incredible Hulk with Ed Norton, as well as Iron Man. But this... Well, it was boring.

Oh, and I can sit through the Good the Bad and the Ugly without looking at my watch.

You did better than me!

I couldn't even watch 15minutes, I had to turn it off.

I watched the whole movie but I agree it was pretty boring. The story was quite interesting and the voice of that dude with the mask in the beginning and some in the middle was well done.

I'm sitting in my office and have spent the last 5hrs staring at financial reports - I hear ya.

On the plus side though my back is agony at the moment - so I've just popped a Vicodin. heck - that stuff even makes doing financial reports interesting [rofl]

For the record, so did I. I hadn't seen it before, and I picked it up used on BD in a "2 for £20" deal at Blockbusters.

It was a nice adaptation of the graphic novel, except for the last bit.

What wasn't nice were all the idiots who watched it and didn't know what it was going to be about, and were expecting some Spiderman or Superman crap comic movie and complained about the superheroes not having powers... oh and the endless complaint about floppy blue penis.

I hate people.
