For those of you that remember Mike1 from FM chat, please read.

This is MSIGuy, unfortunately passing along some info I wish I didn't have to. Mike1, also known as Michel Miniesil has died while on a mountain climbing expedition. Mike was attempting to summit all the big mountains, and after reaching the top of Mt. Aconcagua he was caught in a snowstorm on his way back down. His body was found Monday and they are attempting to bring it down the mountain when weather permits.

Mike was the first Thai to summit Aconcagua and I know he will be missed. Mike was an adventurer, a photo-journalist, and a good friend. I thought that the FM community should know about this, for those of you that were lucky enough to know him.

Information is still scarce, but here is a news article.

RIP Mike, I'm glad you finally got your view from the top.

Dying while doing something you love IMO is as honorable as dying gloriously battle.I salute him for having no fear and going for his goal.Shame it had to end in such a absolute way but sometimes its the price we pay to feel free :(

The name seems familiar and yet again it begs the question I wonder how many active MO/FM members we have lost to tragedy in the last 9 years.http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/sad1.gif
