I think that cop has self-esteem issues. He clearly instigated a response from the skater and then over-reacted when the kid spoke his mind instead of sucking up to him. No where on the video did the skaters show that they were refusing to cooperate. If you can't take being called names as a cop, then I think you need to go back to grade school and learn a thing or two.

As for the cop threatening to break the kids arm, just the typical cop response trying to assert power. Nothing new, nothing extraordinary, at least he didnt shoot the kid when "supposedly reaching for a taser" or anything.

As far as I know, I thought police weren't allowed to swear. Well not allowed, but if they can avoid it then they're suppose to?

Regarding the cop. I think he's a bit of a jackass. He's trying to make out he's some good cop by imitating Judge Dredd "I AM THE. LAW"

The kid didn't show any real signs of resist anyway but yeah I do agree that kids should be shown where they stand. But this cop is a jackass.

we dont know what the kids were doing b4 the cop arrived, but from the video the neighbors were calling the cops.

Apart from cops being called to a scene because of skaters (I know this too well living in Denver) Im sure this cop had his share of dealings with skaters.

At least this cop is better than officer Rivieri

Eh they both probably wrong. The skaters shouldn't be prying up manhole covers or vents or whatever anyways. But the cop was taking it too personally.

However, skateboarders are fags so it makes sense

City of San Fransisco apparently has a law against it, it's not illegal all over the state of california.

Usually when officers come by for minor laws, the cops are there to just get the people who are breaking the laws to clear out to make the rest of the people in the area happy. Usually, no one gets ticketed or arrested.

As an example. if an officer finds you drinking out on the street, they will usually make you throw it away. If you are a ****, you are going to get a ticket, if you are more of a **** you are going to go to jail.

Im on the cops side, the guy shouldn't have called him a "f*cking d*ck". As soon the guy shows the police officer no respect, why the **** shouldn't he be treated like a child/*******?

If he had stayed polite he would have been fine. Stupid skater dipsh*t got what he deserved tbh,.

police should use reasonable force, and although he doesn't break his arm hes stepped over the line by telling him that he will.

I usually would never say this, but in this case I'm actually on the cops side. Kid was being a little Coc*. Sorry, If I were that cop and they showed me disrespect right off the bat like that I'd be an ass hole too. Probably got a little too pissed about it, but ehh didn't do anything too bad so yeah kid deserves what he got.

They're just displaying dismal IQs on both sides.

It's a dialogue of epic low level, full of fail on both sides.

If any of the two parties had acted intelligently, there would be no debate.

Yes he did. Especially given the fisheye high-quality video, it's clear that the goal of these people was to get an "outrage-inspiring" anti-police video up on the internet.

As with most cases the cop could be less of a ****, but in the end it really doesn't matter whose being a **** and who isn't. Many laws suck, but just because you disagree with them doesn't mean you can break them. Obey the law and don't be a douche.

Kids need to express themselves and skateboarding is a great form of expression in my opinion. All they were doing was having harmless fun, and kids having harmless fun should be promoted, not busted.

That said the cop is just some fat middle aged guy with a chip on his shoulder who probably wished he was flying about the streets without a care in the world. It is the way of the world. Kids like to play and adults like to be bitter. It's a shame the world does this to people but I guess it happens for a reason.
