Sound gurus, I need some advice!
Onions,
well I got this electronic Hammond XK3 organ plugged to my Dynacord CLS222 Leslie simluator (1 cable, mono). This used to be connected (2 cables, stereo) using two 1/4'' plug cables to the band's amp. Now I wondered if it would be possible to connect it the same way to my SONY STR DB940 home cinema receiver... It looks like I don't have any input channel to use except maybe the phono jacks? Would that work? Could I then just buy two "1/4" Mono Jack to RCA" Plugs? Here's some info about my old receiver: http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/p...Product_ID/147 Cheers! M |
As long as it's a line level input you should just need to change the cable termination and as such a phono to RCA adaptor should be all you need.
At least it sounds that way to me. ________ VAPORIZER |

sorry, my bad.
What he needs is something like this; http://www.lindy.co.uk/lindyshop/pictures/6083big.jpg or this http://proleads.co.uk/shop/images/2%...02%20Phono.gif The only difference is thatthe top one has a stereo jack and the bottom, one has 2 x mono jacks ________ HISPANIC / LATINO RECIPES ________ LIVE SEX |
If the only inputs you have left are labeled phono it won't work.
Those inputs go through a preamp that normal line ins do not. The sound will like be distorted as **** cause the signal will do nothing but clip. |

I gotta check, but I think I haven't got any line-in. Grrr... [thumbdown] EDIT: whereas... it looks like I might have the one or the other possibility... how about the CD or MD/DAT inputs? Would these work? |
All the inputs are line level apart from the phono one that has an extra preamp in it's path.
CD, MD, DVD, TV they are all the same. ________ Zx14 Vs Hayabusa ________ Zoloft lawsuites |
