On the topic of sick bastards, what's with the people who keep killing their families because of financial troubles?
We have people living in **** conditions in ghetto's... yet some people think that its acceptable to kill their family, and then take their own life, because life gets a little rough. What the hell. |

Poor Kitty! [no]
But this guy is a product of his society. In Everquest, there is a cave where to progress in your quest, you are required to Kill a cat. Everyone in my party thought it was hilarious, but I was horrified. There are games where horrible things are done to animals (not to mention people) Postal, for instance: and its all good clean fun. Not to mention shows/movies like Jackass. Or recent views to be found right here on this board about the death or suffering of others that point to attitudes evolving in the wider society. Does that let this kid off in any way, or make it all the Video games or somebody elses fault? Nope, I am not even going there. But considering the influences and trends, I am more surprised that things like this don't happen more often! |

Poor Kitty! [no] If he can't tell the difference between fantasy and reality then he has some major issues. Besides who raised this kid to do something as stupid as that? |

Thats stupid. I've played postal 2 and used a cat as a silencer, and I'm not going to do it real life. I was talking about desensitization: About how something that might have made a previous generation faint in shock becomes another generations chuckle, and the tendencies that "might” arise from that. |
