I just recieved a machine with a request by the (desperate) owner to please repair thier Sirius Internet player, which would connect then stop at the "ready" prompt with no music playing. Updating to all the latest drivers, clearing cache, restoring explorer etc showed no results, but some web research showed a possible solution in deleting the %userprofile%/appdata/local/Microsoft/ "windows media" folder. I settled instead for just moving it to a new folder, and Wham! Sirius Internet player now works.......
But what the heck did I just do? ![]() Whats in that folder, and are there any nasty negatives to moving it? |

I honestly don't know what is in that folder but if he has future problems, I recommend he uses StarPlayr. I use it on all of my computers and it is rock solid and works very well. Haven't tried the Windows version yet but I am sure it works well, especially compared to the browser based streaming app they have.
