Ever had a really vivid dream after playing a game all night!
 

Been playing a lot of COD4 recently, 5-8 hours every night for the last week or so, and last night after a particular lengthy session, I must have had a very good nights sleep as I awoke with the memories of a very vivid dream.

From what I can remember of the dream, I was part of a resistance group trying to make our way across country to an escape point by boat, and during the escape we were pursued by a team of 6 delta force team members, The leader of the group, this Russian guy, asked for a volenteer to wait behind with a PSG-1 sniper rifle and slow down the delta force group, so the rest of the group could make their escape, so I spoke out that I was wicked at shooting in PC games and I was the obvious choice for staying behind.

Its funny but in the cold light of day, I'm amazed that in my dream, nobody looked at me like I was http://discussworldissues.com/forums...ies/wacko1.gif , anyway, I took the rifle and climbed a "convenient" tower overlooking the area where we were, and proceeded to snipe each of these pursuers, I figured that if I shot the first guy, in the leg, the other members of the team would expose themselves to try to come to his aid (Don't bother trying to look at this logically, as its my dream and my mind, so anything goes http://discussworldissues.com/forums...es/tongue1.gif ).

Anyway, in my dream I must have killed 5 members of the team and as I was about to shoot the last member, and had him in my sights, I realised to my horror that the 6th team member was my best friend, so rather than kill him, I opted to shoot him in the leg to slow him down but hopefully not kill him.

Anyway, I remember in my dream, making my way back to the resistance group and we made our way to the escape point via a flatbed lorry.

For some obscure reason, (known only to my mind and me), when we got to the escape point, the boat we were supposed to be meeting was piloted by my parents and some friends of theirs, and the boat, or rather Yacht, was being entered into some race.

Anyway, we exchanged places with my parents, and made our escape in the boat.

Now I've always had really Vivid dreams, since I've been a child, and can usually recall most if not all of the details in a dream, and sometimes my dreams have been so vivid that
others in the house, either my parents or now my wife and daughter have heard me cry out and even swear.

Years ago, when I was a teenager, my mother used to do, B&B, "bed and breakfast" and I remember one morning being woken up by my mother because I'd been swearing profusely in my sleep and the Germans we had staying, thought I was being Murdered. [rofl]

Hell yeah, especially when I played for 21cw on Desert Combat as I used to play entire sessions (12 hours). I would then go to bed and it was like I'd never left the game and I had entered it for real... awesome.

Haven't played like that for a long time so it's not happened to me recently.

ya once when i was pissed off at all my friends i had a real vivid quake 3 dream. but for some reason i had a knife just like CS and stopped one of my friends in the back of the neck and pulled down.

one of 2 dreams i can still feel today. that feeling has never left m,e of that knife sliding in his neck. heh.

but it was DM!6 (i think, the real spacey one with the sniper pad) it was pretty nuts expect the creepy part.

I recall having several dreams about Dead Rising after putting in many hours one week.

Probably Jedi Knight as well, although that's going back about 7 years now.

When I used to play lots of games I had effects similar to epileptic attacks during my sleep. I sometimes have vivid dreams as well, sounds like yours was quite interesting lol

The few I can remember from recent memory were back when I played FFXI alot, before my account was hacked/stolen, I used to do alot of end game stuff and sometimes would fall asleep waiting for the next event and dream about some loot or another haha

I had an amazingly vivid dream again and this morning kinda woke up in a half asleep/ half awake type state and was convinced that a bomb had gone off or an asteroid hit the ground outside, I remember leaping out of bed and wondering why my wife and the cat on the bed was sound asleep, I rushed over to the window and tore open the blinds expecting to see total devastation outside, But there was nothing there at all, it was all totally like it normally is. http://discussworldissues.com/forums...ies/wacko1.gif

Think I must be going mad, as my dreams seem to be getting more vivid as each day goes by, I was 100% sure that as the bomb/asteroid thing happened this morning that the house shook and the blinds on the window also shook violently, but I was totally still asleep, But totally convinced it was reality.

This is really fecking strange!

My mind must be in a bit of a turmoil, could be all the late nights, I'm having since I've been forced into taking 2 weeks paid holiday as my work has kinda dried up a bit and I'm waiting for something else to open up for me.

And several mates have decided to dump their none working PC's onto me, cos I have tons of freetime at the moment, so maybe I'm just really stressed and its screwing with my brain somehow. [shocked]

My health has taken a bit of a nosedive recently too and I've got some minor liver abnormality, waiting on some scan, whenever that will be, cos its my liver, I've stopped drinking Alcohol (oh! I miss my sweet Guinness),
Also I might have ME (CFS), but my Doctor wants to rule out everything else first.

Its Not Diabetes, Hepatitis or anything else like that, so god knows what I have, but my symptoms match ME exactly. [thumbdown]
