I used to drink, my all time favorite beer is Dunkel beer from Germany, I do not remember what brand though

but, I cant say that about all German Beer, I tried to drink Weisen Beer??? (Lite) and yucky!!

Hence the term "somewhat." I freely concede it's a couple orders of magnitude more common among Irish-Americans who don't know their history, but that doesn't mean you don't see a few getting sold in Dublin to non-tourists. Interestingly after the 20's Irish pubgoers gradually replaced the traditional Bass-Guinness recipe (representing how Irish and Brits don't mix) with Harp's-Guinness to make a point, rather than abandoning the drink altogether.
