Ju-On (Japanese version of The Grudge)
Ringu (Japanese version of The Ring)

Both incredibly terrifying but not bloody or gorey at all really. Teh Japanese make the best horror films. [thumbup]

Pan's Labyrinth is considered a (historical) fantasy horror film. There are elements that are terrifying if you really think about it. Especially if you're a child. One of my favourite movies of all time.

anyone know any good "horror" movies without lots of violence? I always hate lots of gore and think it's pointless, but I'd like to see a scary movie now and then...

Missed this one. Pans Labyrinth is a horror movie[shocked]. I thought it was more of a kids film, seriously

I found The Ring creepy in parts (US Remake) especially at the cinema

Brain Dead, plenty of gore there dunno about the scary parts
