For the second time in 2 months I have had part of an order canceled due to an item being out of stock. I don't get notified right away, but 2 days later. I don't understand why it takes them 2 days to figure it out. So, instead of waiting for the part to be in stock (a quad core Xeon 5420 for a server I'm building) I decide to go the next step down only this time my business card is declined!
I know exactly what is supposed to be on there, it's a $2500 limit and the total came to about $2200 for everything I ordered. I get on Newegg support chat and find out that the original part won't be refunded for 3-5 days!! WTF!! The damn order was canceled, I want the money back now! They say there is nothing they can do. So now I have to wait 3-5 days for the refund so I can order a different part. I can't just pay off the card as I am not the one who handles that. Last time it was fiber modules that I needed for an install. I ended up getting them 2 weeks after I ordered them. WTH is up with newegg lately? Anyone else experiencing these kinds of problems? I order high volume from them, probably spend 3k a month. It just seems it's only happening to stuff I need right away. If they weren't cheaper than the other vendors I deal with, I'd stop buying from them. I just hope this isn't a trend they are going to continue. /rant |
