Need an MP3 encoder to do a specific job...
Hi, I've got myself a new phone at xmas (LG Viewty - Great thing) and I've got a 8gb SD card for it and have been filling it up with music.
Now the thing is im quickly running out of space and I've orangised alot of my music on their already, file names, structures, ID3 info etc, after further checking alot of my MP3s are at 320kps which isnt really necessary when listening to it on headphones through a phone. What im looking for is a program so I can convert every MP3 on my phone into 128kps but so that it replaces the file thats already there and also keeps all of the file structures, ID3 tags etc. I've got over 4000 songs on there in lots of different folders so its going to take ages to select each album at a time and convert it, even more so if I have to change all the ID3 info so i Just want to get a big batch conversion going on and just leave it overnight. Anyone have any ideas of programs that can do this? Even if it dosent replace the files im converting, just keeps the file structures and ID3 tags and puts them somewhere else that will be fine also. |
I think in iTunes you can just select every file, click convert, let it do it's thing and then go find the new files (should have same tags and file names if you save them to a different folder) and then drag them back to your card. Delete the copies once they're on your phone and you're done.
I don't see why you need the file structure, doesn't the media player software sort them by tags, ID "cd", "artist", etc? |
