Hey folks,
I bought myself a 1gb Kingston Micro-SD card for my Nokia 3500 classic today, but I'm not exactly happy with how it's working. How slow are these things supposed to be? Moving 100 megs of stuff to the card from by PC via cable link takes an hour. If I open my picture browser it takes like one minute to just change the directory on the card. I can't believe it's supposed to slow down so much from only 100/1000mb usage. Could it be that the amount of pictures is the influencing factor here instead of the size? It's roughly 5000 pics. |

get a "CONVERTER" Regardless, It'll still take a minute to simply switch directories on the phone while viewing the gallery. I don't mind the slow copying that much but I can't wait for minutes every time I wanna browse my pics. |

Is that supposedly faster? perhaps the reason why your files are slow is that perhaps the phone is "indexing them " or has compatability issues with either capacity or the memory card I have a samsung and a micro sd 2g and I dont have probems like you describe when browsing files |

It took about 15 seconds to move a 6mb file onto the card. Putting the card in a card reader that is connected to your PC will almost certainly be faster. Case in point - if I want to copy 4gb of photos from my digital camera to my PC, I take the card out of my camera and put it into my card reader - I do NOT connect my camera directly to my PC, as the transfer speed is painfull. |
