Default Post the wierdest thing you've resorted to eating when nothing else was around
The other day I was so damn hungry and there was absolutely nothing to eat in the house, I had neglected to go shopping and I had just finished 4 days of shift work.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, so I ate a package of jello instant pudding mix, the kind where you just add milk, don't have to cook it or anything. The only problem was that I didn't have any milk to mix it with. So here I am sitting on the couch eating this package of powder, it was actually quite difficult. Eventually I went and got a glass of water to help chase it all down, anyhow thats my story.

Spaghetti hoops on crispbread

Wasn't too bad if I recall.

Better than some "proper" meals I have had in the past lol!

Hungry, but just plain lazy to prepare anything decent:
Uncooked oats and water.

Starving and nothing around to eat:
Coatimundi with fried plantain.

What's weird about that?

That's how they eat it in europe... no butter... dip it in olive oil or sprinkle some salt over it

As for me... I'm sure I'll have eaten some odd combinations - but I can't recall any at the minute :S

Was hungry as heck whilst fishing, but way to drunk to drive anywhere for some fast food, so when i landed my first fish (a middle pike) i pretty much ate half of the 1min before killed raw fish.
was pretty good as far as i can remember.

Hmm I just ate the bait. Squid to be exact. Nothing weird about that.

Tortilla with chocolate frosting. All I had was tortillas, and some left over frosting....

Paxo Sage and Onion stuffing. Was at a pretty desperate point of my life, outgoing far exceeded in my income and that was all there was left to eat in the flat.

3 days it lasted too!

Tomato paste + Milk + water + onions diced + a lil butter = a screwed up version of tomato bisque soup... oh and i added some salt and pepper ...

one time the ONLY thing i had was an onion and some lemons... I love onions even raw.. and luckily i had a lemon
Onions sliced + fresh lemon juice + olive oil + salt + pepper + a tiny bit of saffron + 30min to marinate = VERY DELICIOUS.... BUT massive gastric problems.

Ramen noodles. Microwaved, not even boiled.

A few weeks ago I went several days eating nothing but toast.
