http://www.local6.com/news/14857286/detail.html

This is just beyond ridiculous.

I'm glad to see our country is finally cutting down on hardened violent criminals like these! Let's keep the streets safe for our senior citizens.

I could understand confiscating the knife... i could even understand if they suspended her for the rest of the day but arrest her? there is more to this story... this is too absurd

Wow... poor girl. Making a huge deal of stuff like this is just going to make it worse, IMO. Now some other 10 year old knows that if he grabs a steak knife from home and brings it to school he will get insane amounts of attention! [thumbdown]

What kind of food do you bring to school at age 10 that needs to be cut?

Well most of the time I remember eating the simple sand which and some other things that did not require any utensils at all. But every now and then I was sent to school with left-over. Which did require a knife. Chicken fried steak for example, or even pieces of beef skirts (the real fajita meat, not sirloin claiming to be fajita meat) which by the way can be tough. I remember a kid who would refuse to eat an apple with the skin on it, so she'd peel it off with....wait for it......A KNIFE!

Well I'm glad they are focused on the kid with a knife at the lunch table instead of the 4 thugs who brought guns to the playground.

im glad to see that justice was carried out, that little girl could have hurt someone!

i mean, seriously, if they had turned around, they probably would have seen 3 guys with a bunch of cash running out of the local bank... but the little girl cutting up her lunch was a worse crime, right?

True....especially when you think about what she could have done with it.

Like murder every single person in the school.
