Not being funny, but what exactly was she supposed to say in that situation, it's not as if she could openly admit some people are just plain thick. All she did was try to come up with some bullshit, and it just didn't work. I don't see what all the drama is about. I'm more concerned about the statistic than her babbling.

I can understand if they came from Tennessee. I am not sure about the rest of the state, but here in the Tennessee Valley, the schools suck balls. This area had such a shortage of teachers that the counties were allowing people to work as long as they were 21 and had a GED, paying them sum $12/hour.

I don't deny that, but it's a hard question to answer. In situations like that you can't just appoint blame, you need to provide a solution in your answer. Sure, she may not be "clever" but I'd love to see some of the people on here attempt to answer it clearly, in one take under pressure.

I know I've said some pretty stupid things under pressure when asked awkward to answer questions and I know I'm not alone. There's a real art to not answering questions being asked of you.

Sure, we could blame this on nerves, but I don't think that's really at the heart of this issue. The answer to this question is simple; observe. "There is no good reason for any percent of American citizens to be unable to locate their own nation on a world map. This clearly outlines a lack of emphasis on education is certain parts of our country."
