The jolly chaps from our dev team just added a couple of new toplists to the User Hardware Statistics page. [thumbup] Most Popular DX10 hardware, Most Popular DX9 (SM3.0) hardware and more!

This is data retrieved from the ORB itself I may assume?

I seen it the other day and it's always nice to see some graphs and facts linked to what is most populair among computer users/gamers.

Nope, the data is from our Game-o-Meter scan database, which is separate from the ORB data. We will at some point in the nearish future post similar stats of our ORB users.

How do you keep data apart from users who take the test multiple times?

You can't, as such, with the Game-o-Meter: only one hardware configuration is stored per user account (i.e. the last one you did). So the stats aren't affected by people repeatedly testing their PC against lots of games.

Fixed - there was some background changes to the location of the stats page.

working now... but theres a typo on the DX8 cards as the geforce 4MX is just a dx7 card... only the TI is dx8

The database apparently has some wrong data regarding older DX-generations. I'll look into this next week. We'll also be monitoring whether people rescanning the same or similar systems repeatedly is a major warping factor and take measures as needed.

We'll probably do similar stats for ORB in the near future. Any ideas on what you guys would want to see covered are welcome.

It is, about 50% ! of all DX10 cards.
