Wikipedia is annoyingly addictive
I just managed to get from Ahmadinejad to deja vu, after about an hour and a half of reading.
Ahmadinejad > Iran > Persian language > Japan (wondered what the second most common language was) > Ainu language > Ainu > Native Americans > Models of migration to the new world > Pre-Columbian Trans-Oceanic contact > Atlantis > Edgar Cayce > John Titor > Paranormal > Deja Vu I know a fair bit more about these subjects now though, so can't really complain. |
Yeah, I also go on these wild adventures. Yeah, it's annoying.

A couple schoolmates and I used to have Wikipedia races sometimes in class. The goal would be to start from the same article and get to a predetermined one that was entirely unrelated without doing any typing. It was a pretty fun way to pass the time. http://discussworldissues.com/forums...es/tongue1.gif

hehe, i felt like a moron for an minute, but then I realized that the other thread was more than a year old.. http://discussworldissues.com/forums...es/tongue1.gif
It's good to see we're not the only ones to do that though. |
I know what you mean. I sometimes will have 50 tabs open in Firefox just reading up on things.

I do it constantly. Wiki is definitely addicting, long wild tangents.[thumbup]

I thought I was the only one that did that...

Wikipedia is going to create a race of super nerds... Thank goodness there's Conservapedia to balance it all out.
