NOOO Not the Gigaworks

I'm in mourning, my Creative Gigaworks S750 have given up after 2 years of solid, thumping service, I can't believe after 2 years they still cost more than I piad for them, paid £243.00 and scan still has them for £255.00.

Anyone had any luck with repairs to these from Creative, I dread to think how much it's gonna cost, my own fault, just moving my desk and unplugged one of the speakers, the two ends of the speaker cable touched together and no more power http://discussworldissues.com/forums...ilies/cry1.gif http://discussworldissues.com/forums...ilies/cry1.gif http://discussworldissues.com/forums...ilies/cry1.gif http://discussworldissues.com/forums...ilies/cry1.gif , didn't think that would cause a problem.

Edit: Just noticed I have a flickering green light on the sub/amp, at least i know power is going into them.

Sure there just isn't a fuse or something blown in it? Hate to see such a pricey piece of kit go due to something I did http://discussworldissues.com/forums...ilies/cry1.gif

By the looks of stuff I googled, it looks like the PSU inside the sub has failed or is failing or is registering a drop in voltage http://discussworldissues.com/forums...ilies/cry1.gif

if you replace your motherboard with one of the same chipset you should be able to plug in your harddrive and carry as before. unless of course that if fried as well. i doubt it would be. usually just the mobo blows when psu geos.

Wow, luckily I decided to ask creative for a cost of repair before I went and got a new set and found out these have a 2 year warranty which runs out in 15 days, marvelous, creative have emailed me saying send em the details and they'll send me a new set.

Creative, I love you.
