Default What is the stupidest commercial product you can think of?
Virtual Boy! Come nearly as high as the Power Glove!

Edit:
Maybe not stupid, but badly designed.

I'm getting pretty tired of these irritating AT&T "fewest dropped calls" commercials. When I was an AT&T Wireless customer, I didn't have any dropped calls. When AT&T Wireless was bought by Cingular, I didn't have any dropped calls. When AT&T absorbed Cingular and forced me to switch from my original analog cellphone to one of their digital ones back in March, I've had several dropped calls since then. 6 years and no dropped calls until AT&T made me switch to their digital network. Fewest dropped calls my ass...

It is critical to point out here that urine is sterile in most cases.

My post was about a particularly bothersome advert for a prostate pill.

The "innovations" catalogue once featured a pair of carpet slippers with headlights at the front, so that the wearer could find their way around a dark house without needing to turn the lights on.

According to Wikipedia,

In the US, a new Segway currently (April 2007) costs between $4,995 and $5,495.

I live about a mile or a mile and a half from the nearest lightrail stop (over very hilly terrain). I'm not about to try and walk it or bike it, but I figured a Segway would make it doable.

Big mofo hills weak, flabby legs rain

Hmmm: "Secondhand Segways tend to sell on eBay for around half those prices." Now, we're getting down into my price range.

The Segway has been banned from use on pavements and in public transportation in a small number of municipalities based on the fact it is not classified as a medical device. Banned from public transportation!? Dang. I have to make sure that isn't the case here. It's probably not; we can take bikes onto public transportation; surely, we could take Segways.
