How do i get my website to be found via google ?

I would've thought the use of meta tags would help.

Someone care to back me up on this?

theres also a link in google where you add your website on their database.

plus your site has to be constanstly visited to stay on the very first pages

Post links to it on the net. Any forums you might visit, stick it in your sig.

Adding meta tags to the html will also help.

Just throw in the words "hardcore", "sex", "blonde", "brunette", etc. into the HTML somewhere and it's guaranteed to show up in 99% of Google searches (although not necessarily on the first page).

Through the use of meta tags, my brothers site was on the first page of results on yahoo for something quite random like "contract killings". Of course, his site had nothing to do with it, but funny all the same.

So, metatags will get you so far, but if you use a generic term like "technical support" then you'll need to work harder to get onto the first million hits. If you use terms like the company name etc... or for words less comone they'll help out. Other than that, it's an expensive and time consuming job to get to number 1.
