Ive done my training and im currently awaiting my license so i have a little rant from somehting that happend sunday night.
me and my friend went to the local club, we had shirt and shoes on. we goto the door of the club where a small bald bouncer awaited. He said ot my friend your too casual your not coming in, i said to the bouncer are you joking he has a shirt and shoes on how on earthe is that too casual, how do you want him to dress. the bouncer replyed he should be dressed like in the fhm magazine, i laughed and made a joke i said what you want him to wear a bra, he then looked angry and said it would kee your tits up wouldnt it, so i said yes it would but it wouldnt stop your hair falling out [thumbup]. he then said it wont stop me smashing your face in, and then i said it wont stop me taking your badge number and calling the sia either to wich he went white as a ghost then said move on "please" I hate people who abuse ther epower especially doormen whos primary job is to ensure there punters safety. I should have took his badge number and reported him for threatening to smash my face in, he obviously either didint have a license or hasnt done his conflict management training. |

Someone's going to have to explain the cultural differences in bartenders 'cross to pond to me. [xmasblush] I can see where it would be beneficial to do some self defence training, or at least learn some proper restraining techniques if your a bouncer, but whats more required, I suppose, Is looking like your a hard ******* who eats glass for breakfast, but has the ability to defuse an explosive situation just by using his brain and talking to the people causing the trouble. Even though the course and licence is initially quite expensive, it was £600 or so. It is one way to get rid of all the idiots and crappy companies out of the system, as since I began working in the Security industry since 1990, I've worked with so many people that were complete w@nkers, they've been either criminals, thugs, drunks or junkies and relying on any of those in a bad situation is a recipe for distaster, as the only person they care about, are themselves. One incident I was involved with, was with my colleague who was a cannabis smoker and was, it seemed, perpetually stoned out of his mind, and the ******* left me standing to face some crazed heroin junkie armed with a knife who went mad in A & E at Kingston Hospital, London, back in 1991, the gutless sod ran off, and left me to face this junkie alone. Had he not been stoned, he would have been there to back me up and help defuse the situation, and since the junkie had gone a bit "cold turkey" and was desperate for a methadone fix, talking to him was'nt calming him down, and the situation was gradually getting worse, and the cops were still a few minutes away, I ending up chucking a chair at the junkie, then battering him over the head with my 6 cell Maglite (a great truncheon replacement if ever there was one), and managed to kick the knife away from him, I then used the chair to pin him to the ground as he lay face down, and by sitting on the chair made it impossible for him to move until the cops got there. Not one person complained to the cops that I'd battered the guy over the head, and I do believe some people cheered as I was doing it. Shame it was'nt the US, I could have just shot the guy dead, and saved the Government some money in trying to rehabilitate the "deadbeat". |

yes my friends have had problems with bouncers before.
there was a fatal shooting in one of our nightvlubs and it has now been closed down. when my friends who are black go to get in a different nightclub a few weeks after the shooting they get turned away for no reason whatsoever. We established why later, my friend who was in the queue behind them by a few people told me they heard the bouncers say to each other, " good job on not letting them get in they looked like they came from zest" (the nightclub where the shootings were. suggesting they had guns etc. soo racist! grr |
