It's not crazy, it's funny.

Swim across the Atlantic Ocean - 3,462 mi

Those aren't bad directions.

What I thought was crazy was in the US it only took 19 steps before the swim, after the swim it was another 39.

HUGE interstate system. Thats why. You can pretty much get from one end to the other in less steps than it would take to navigate a small town.

Just why must one swim to France to reach UK from the USA?

No doubt swimming is good for you but wouldn't one get enough exercise just by swimming from New York to, lets say, Plymouth? [rofl]

Looking at this, Google seems to make us swim all from one spot to another when traveling through the Atlantic Ocean.

Why should we need to go to Boston, then jump off at Long Wharf, and start swimming?
