Default Possilbe Ebay problem - could do with some help
I bought one of the cards in http://www.futuremark.com/forum/showthread.php?t=40306 this thread the other day but got concerned when he didnt reply to my question whether he would accept payment via Paypal. Against my better judgement I paid him by bank transfer via my online banking to the account details on the invoice he had sent me.
I then emailed him to give him my address details as had been requested on the invoice and have since heard nothing from him (ok its only 3 days) but did email him once more to ask when I might expect delivery as I had paid the extra for RM Special Delivery, just so I know when someone needs to be in to receive it.

Anyway this morning I have received this message from another one of the buyers (albeit he bought one on Monday)

He's a con artist, see if you can get your money stopped. I stopped my transfer after i'd messaged the people who'd left him feedback for gfx cards And none had ever bought anything from him. I informed ebay to investigate him on thursday, they did nothing saying i had no proof.I hope you get your money back,if not, you can put up a case against ebay.
Now Im starting to get a wee bit worried, especially seeing as he says he contacted the people who were left feedback by the seller and they claim never to have bought anything from him. I have contacted them myself just to confirm what he says but have not received any replies yet.

Firstly, do you think I might be getting skanked here?
If I am, what do I do and is there a possibility of getting my money back? I have his account details but thats all. Ive been in touch with my bank this morning and they told me to get a crime report number and then they will pass it onto their fraud department, who at their discretion, might give me my money back.

help!!

Try getting contact info from here and phoning them:
http://search.ebay.co.uk/ws/search/A...=9#ContactInfo

It sounds like he is a scammer though. [no]

If you don't get any luck with phoning then contact eBay and the police.

Pulled the information and the telephone number is a private number. Spoke to the woman who answered and she said she has never heard of the person and asked how I got the number as it was a private one.

Definate scam!
