as the title says, do RMSD service deliver on a saturday or is it pointless me waiting around for the posty?

They do deliver RMSD items on a Saturday, but it is not guaranteed.

Back when I was a postie between 95 - 2000, Special Delivery also included Saturdays before 12.

i think after 2003 it sort of stopped being a guaranteed Sat service.

I was looking on the RM website. They state that posting SD items on a Saturday is not guaranteed within the service, but it does happen at RMs discretion.

I've posted stuff on Friday and it has arrived to people on the Saturday, however the postmaster person usually says that the service will not guarantee the item will arrive on the Saturday. Just covering their butts I assume.

I think it highly depends on how close the recipient is to the RM parcel and package depot, I live about 10mins walk from the nearest RM depot, I usually still get Sat deliveries (sometimes pre-9am knock knocks[rofl]), even normal next day small items usually comes by RM even though the etailers website states they only use City Link (nearest City Link depot happens to be many many miles away)
