Default (Math) I'm going crazy!
I just got this project to do over the weekend for my Pre-calc class and I can usually get these weird types of problems, but I cant get this one at all...I was wondering if anyone could help me with this stupid thing!.....please?

A 20ft ladder rests vertically against a wall. A cat starts at the bottom of the ladder and climbs up at a rate of 1 ft per min. At the same time, the foot of the ladder is being pulled along the ground at a rate of 1ft per min until the top reaches the ground. Let x be the distance of the cat from the wall at time t.

I have to find the function x(t) that gives the distance of the cat from the wall as a function of time t.

I am guessing it has something to do with the Pythagorean theorem, but that's as far as I got :-\

I have to find lots more stuff about this problem, but if I get the equation I think I could do the rest.
