Pretty much what I saw wrong too. He says all the consoles are as you would buy them in the UK but then he says they are imported consoles seems like a bit of a contradiction to me. That and no wii sports is odd, do they sell the wii without wiisports?

Over 380 feedback at 100%, his last 4 feedback comments were positive from people who had bought Wii's too.

I can't see a problem.

Upto 20 days, not 20 days, definate!

And his bank details are clearly shown on that page, if its fraud and you pay by credit card your covered, and the bank can always track the payment anyway.

Besides to open a bank account in the UK, you generally need some form of ID and a utility bill showing where you live, so clearly showing your bank details for the world to see would'nt be a good idea if you were gonna commit fraud would it?

I take it the last 4 purchasers were from the UK, and if there had been any problems with the Wii not being PAL then they would have posted their discontent, as they did'nt I assume the auction is legit.

I thought that Wii games were region coded? So if you by a Wii from outside of Europe, then you will be locked into importing all your games.....

I bought one on the 2nd. Haven't recieved anything as yet.

He accepted paypal for the first lot that he put on, but has since stopped accepting it (so if it is a scam i'm pretty confident i'll be able to get my money back.) It's not unusual for paypal to stop any incoming payments when you're selling a large volume of goods at that sort of price so it's understandable that he would have to resort to other method.

I'll keep you lot updated.

yours truly,

ale... uhh i mean. otcela

a guy asked if he could pick one up cos he lived in the same city and the guy said no - that's odd.

I live in Worcester myself, I would have grabbed you one if he'd allowed it [thumbup]

I just thought of something else, if he isnt letting people pick them up and they are being directly sent to people... how come he says there is no import duty?

Well you don't build up 100% feedback with 380 sales if there is anything dodgy with your auctions.

And I never noticed that the people had left the feedback the next day after winning.

If the guy had crappy feedback, I'd be inclined to be suspicious like the rest of you, but its 100%.

Maybe he does'nt do pickups cos they come direct from somewhere else and he never sees them arrive until they reach the customer and he gets confirmation that they have arrived.

I think its legit, and would have no qualms in buying from him.

As for the import duty, maybe he has already pre-bought a number of consoles from a foreign buyer and already paid the import duty on top of the price for the console,
(don't know how it works exactly, just guessing).

But it does say..
All import tax and duties are already paid prior to you receiving the product

So that makes me think that the import duty is pre paid in some way.
