Revising for an upcoming exam, and having some problems with integration.

Question is.... the exact value of:

should help, lotsa work throughs you want definite intergrals k

use simpsons's approximation method, it has 100 percent accuracy for this type of problem i think, but make sure to check ur error, just in case.

Use the substitution u=4x-1

so du=4dx

if x=1, u=3
if x=2, u=7

stick them in and integrate the now much simpler expression, and you get 2/21

wow, i overlooked the simplest method, substitution lol. afro was on the right track. with the substitution, and i got 2/21 too. i think u do get the same answer with simpson's approximation though.

yes it was substitution integration, figured it out after much stress, finally think im getting my ahead around this module.
