And I have no idea what to get a degree in..

you really shouldnt base your college/uni course on which one has the most future, you should choose which one best suits you as a whole (things youre good at, interested in, most affiliated with, etc. etc.) well..thats just in my opinion though

You can be like me and get a Job you hate for decent money (and a decent "future") after Uni. But its not healthy if thats all it is IMO. I speak from experience.

Hopefully I'll be going back to Uni next year, if I can't find anything in the meantime.

The only problem choosing a job that you like is that usually you tend to not be able to get that kind of job.. which lands you at burger king with a 4 year degree flipping burgers. I would honestly recommend going for whichever job is going to have the most open positions and pays decently. They say money can't buy happiness... but when you're struggling to pay bills even if you enjoy your work you won't be all that happy. I would go for a crappy job with good pay. You only have to work 8 hours of the day. I'd rather have a shitty 8 hours at work and go home to some relaxation and enjoyment.

People will always die, so a job in the undertaking buisness has a pretty straight future.

Get a job at United Technologies.

You can never ever get fired. Even if you post in a thread called, "Jobs with the most future?" when you should be finishing up a huge release by the end of the week.

I might go in a totally different direction and try a music degree. With a view to maybe becoming an instructor of some kind or maybe a teacher.

Was also thinking of maybe starting my own business, again in musical instruments (well, guitars, bass' and drumkits).

Feck knows.

Guys I'm not going to just jump into the most future bound job I see..

I plan on looking into it and seeing if it actually interests me.

I just have no idea what to do.. or what to study.

I like electronics and mechanics..

My only hobbies right now are paintballing and 4 wheeling (quads)

I don't see many jobs relating to my hobbies.. Unless you guys know of some.. lol

I'm planning to quit my job and go in the health system as an auxiliary nurse (well that's how I'd put it in English anyways) Health system is severely lacking staff around the whole province here so demand will never fall.

anything physical. Plumber, electrician, roofer/house construction/utilities... essentially what people need to survive that others think aren't important (until they have no head and its freezing out).
