I need to get a new phone, my old contract is dead on Friday, I will be switching service.
Two phones in my price range are... The Sony Ericsson w300 and the Motorola Razr V3. I know that EVERYBODY and their dog owns the V3, but it's for a reason, it is a nice phone, and I do enjoy the look of it. I am trying to get past that though, and looking for something functional. The w300 has an MP3 player, including a 256MB Memory Stick. The Razr, seems like it's aging, it does not have an MP3 player, but I do like the metal case and it's slim size. Anybody have these phones? Would you be willing to give some advice? Which one would be more powerful for gaming on the phone? Videos? They are both the same price today ($50), the Razr will be free on black Friday though. Suggestions? http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?...=pp1&pid=10415 http://direct.motorola.com/ENS/Web_P...roductid=30334 |

i love my razr. and i think making a phone an mp3 player is silly. plus i have way to much music for a phone to hold so thats why i just have a seperate mp3 player. good reception on the razr too. |

My friend worked for Motorola in Japan evaluating which phones to sell in which markets, and they decided not to sell the Razr in Japan because it was so low quality. But, that's probably because they have a much higher standard over there. Still, I mean, when they won't sell their own phone over there...

I have a sony ericson w600i and I still love the phone. I have had the phone since april and I still have yet to have a problem with it wearing out from having to twist it open like so many people say they have. The 256mb MP3 function is an awesome addition as well. We end up listening to my phone in the company truck because the radio is broken, lol.
