Default MS Outlook
having some trouble with opening up Outlook (XP Professional).

when I open it - it just hangs and eventually says program not responding.

I clicked on that SEND ERROR report thing to Microsoft and it said:

\outlook.exe.mdmp
\appcompat.txt

Any idea what I can do about it?

Can I reinstall Outlook without losing info?

I think you can reinstall it without losing emails. They are stored in a .pst file somewhere in c:\Document and Settings\yourusername so you could back them up just to be sure.

I had problems with Outlook 2003 downloading my emails, which seemed very difficult to fix. I have since been using Mozilla Thunderbird and don't intend to go back to Outlook.
