There's a metric assload of studies out there that show that people's personalities are formed from roughly 50% genetics and 50% environment. Of the environment portion, the vast majority of influence comes from peers, not parents.

So, if someone is born predisposed to this sort of behaviour, simply putting them together with a similar person (or 11 persons) could yield results like this. However, if they had been born 50% "good", the chances are much lower that they would engage in activities such as this.

What I get annoyed at is when you say "these poeple ought to get aright flogging" and you have folks who say in return "that's not goign to solve anything"... [rolleyes]

Lets wake up and smell the coffee people, you are all right when you say that we need to teach these delinguents a lesson in a language they understand... and having them live in fear of having the **** beaten out of them is probably the best thing for them.

Well here's the perfect solution: Don't give them any witness protection, leave their identities out in the open and let them live in fear of being gang-raped and humiliated, and having the **** beaten out of them... only then will they realise what it is like to be in the girl's shoes and perhaps they will understand it is wrong!

And I agree with Golem... people are not born bad... they are more than likely born stupid, and have no intelligent people around when they are growing up to set them straight, and so even though they know right from wrong, they don't see any problem with doing nasty **** to innocent people. Especially when they want to copy shows like Jackass... but they forget, the folks in Jackass damage property, not people.... and if they do they have the guts to do it to themselves, and not handicapped people.
