Yeah, our electric bill nearly doubles in the summer. Air conditioner technology still has a long way to go. I knew many people in AZ that had done that. This elderly couple was actually generating so much energy the electric company (SRP) was paying them ~$100 a month. Their meter ran backwards...lol |

If you have enough Solar Panels, the electric company can actually end up paying you every month. (Granted you have the initial capital) |

What is your favorite thing about summer? It's almost gone so what is it that you always look forward to during the summer of each year?
For me I love having fresh fruit. We get strawberries and pineapple and everything here year-round, but "fresh" is not flying fruit in from Chile or Argentina. Nothing beats fresh strawberries when they're in season. They're so much more tasty than what you can get in the middle of winter. Another big one is having more daylight. In the winter we have less than 9 hours of daylight, which means getting up before the sun rises and getting out of work just as it is setting. There's nothing quite like having 12-13 hours of daylight during the summer, though. Its great being able to be outside in light all evening. |

Trackdays on the circuit with the motorcycle. My absolute favorite thing about the summer, impossible to do in wintertime for obvious reasons.
![]() Other than that, I suppose I could list the weather, the girls, the university's introduction week in the city (because of the girls ![]() Even though it only lasts about a day or two here. ![]() |

Longer days, seasonal fruit, Outdoor clubs, beach bars and lido's, girls wearing ever so skimpier attire, having a tan, getting to hang the hammock and spending hours on it reading, listening to music, bbq's with friends, beautiful starry nights, friends coming over to visit from abroad plus I live in Malta do there are also 3 beaches 5 mins away in every compass direction.
