The Galaxie Rising Star Award visited trumpeter Chris Davis this season and on June 22 his award winning performance was delivered by him at the Victory Square Stage( The Sounds of Youth). The panel of judges were correspondent Greg Buium, guitarist/educator Jeremy Hepner and musician/broadcaster Gavin Walker. Chirs could be observed to benefit on Morgan Childs new CD for Cellar Live named "Time" with Morgan's Quintet. Bob is likely to be delivering their own CD quickly on Cellar Live and could be noticed with Mike Allen's 'Fatty Tuna Funktet' and several other bands........Chris Davis is a superb addition to Vancouver's increasing rates of first-class Jazz people. Congratulations Bob!
