The annual Geminid meteor show is likely to top on Wednesday evening. With as much as 100 meteors each hour obvious from a website, the Perseids are rivaled by the Geminids in August for the name of greatest meteor show of the entire year. The pathways of Geminid meteors seem to point straight back to your place near the brilliant stars Pollux and Castor in the constellation Gemini, providing its title to the bath. For experts at latitudes, this place called once the show must reach its maximum, the warm is likely to be almost straight overhead between 0100 and 0200 local time the nights 1314 December. December however the whole meteor bath runs from 6 to 18. Experts in the southern hemisphere may place some Geminid meteors, but won't see almost as rich a present as these in the northern hemisphere. Dried-up comet?
