Default Another blow to HD-DVD (Netflix this time)
Looks like Netflix is following blockbusters lead to go with blu-ray

http://www.zatznotfunny.com/2005-11/...lu-ray-winner/

Looks like a chain of events have started up and it doesn't look good for HD-DVD.

EDIT: appears this article is old. Seems Netflix was leaning for Blu-ray before Blockbuster.

Not only is the article old, but so is the quote position of Netflix Steve Swasey. The sight itself now has a HD-DVD section that says "Netflix will make the full range of HD titles available at the moment they're introduced."

To be honest, I don't necessarily see that as a good thing though. There's two reasons why I don't have a hi-def player yet:
1 - No over-the-counter rental places near where I live have any hi-def titles.
2 - Format war.

Ok I lie, my third reason is price, if they were dirt cheap I'd go for them anyway. But before jumping on board I need to see widespread dual format support, or for one of the formats to die.

It's HD DVD, not HD-DVD.

Typically when someone suggests or references an open forum discussion site, most of us tend to immediately think of heavy discussion topics or dry debates. They seem to discuss intense good doctors near me current events or dense news headlines, often in the realms of politics or economics. What few people realize, however, is that most of us may be missing out on exploring the lighter side of open forum discussion sites.

For anyone who has ever worked in retail - even an online retailer -- they have no doubt heard the phrase: "The customer is always right." That is a short way of saying that having one's own store tacitly says you are interested in delivering credit card system and services.
