He may well have died of AIDS and he may well have been a homosexual. On the other hand, his illness and death were quite quick. People who die from AIDS usually wither over a longer period (like Freddie Mercury, who looked like crap long before he died).

If you asked me why Arafat died, I would have said it was brought on by stress due to his being imprisoned in his compound and surrounded by the Israeli military.
