i have just passed my driving test,
about a week ago i was checking out some quotes for when i passed, i have gone back today and put in the same information and it has nearly doubled!!!

last week for example i could have gotten insured on a mini one for about £900, now the cheapest is £1800!!!!

Are you definately inputting the same info, and asking for the same insurance?

Have you checked more than one company to see if it was a glitch with just one company?

im using comparethemarket.com which does check alot of insurers and they are all the same. The details are the same aswell as it saves any quotes that you do so you can come back to them

the fact that you have passed will up the premiums: you on your own is a greater risk than you driving with someone

Often a good idea to go 3rd party for the first couple of years.

My guess, is the reason the price went up, is because its spring, warm weather, people tend to drive more, from late spring to early fall.

your still going to be driving in sping even if you insure it late fall.... plus your more likely to crash in the colder, darker wetter months anyway surely?

anyway i cant explain it. when you pass your test it doesnt usually change the premium too much. maybe one quote was third party and one was fuly comp?
